lvl 1 earth bending

To get started you will need to complete the requirements for your first bending technique. In this case it would be "Quake". All chi techniques can be found on the Chi Techniques page, and all meditations and telekinesis can be found on the Mind Dojo page. Once you can do all the requirements, you are ready to start bending!

Quake Requirements: Chi Projection, Breathing Meditation, Chi Meditation
The Earthquake skill is one of the most fundamental skills of earthbending. Many offensive, and defensive bending techniques sprout from this technique.
Now what you are going to do, is create vibrations in the ground. This may not seem all that amazing, but if you think about it, it actually is. This is what earthquakes are, vibrations. So you are basicly making a scaled down earthquake.
You will want to be on soft, but non-shifty ground. So somewhere in your backyard works fine.
Start off by projecting your chi out of your foot, and into the ground below you. You want to put your chi a few inches under the ground. Not too far, because as a beginner you wont see much effect if you put it far under.
Now
spread your chi out to make a perimeter around you. However big the radius of your perimeter is, that will be the range of the earthquake you will be making. After you have your chi ready, build up chi in your other leg, and after you do that stomp your foot and release this chi. As you stomp your foot, thrust your fists towards the ground and use telekinesis on the ground below you to help intensify the vibrations themselvs. The telekinesis portion is optional, but it definatly makes this technique more effective

Earth Tide Requirements: Earthquake, Chi Meditation, Breathing Meditation
This is a more offensive form of the original "Earthquake" technique. What you will be doing, is channeling an earthquake into a straight line out in front of you
Do everything you do in the original "Earthquake" technique, except instead of making a perimeter of chi around you, project your chi out in front of you as a rectangular line.
So basicly all you are doing differently is making a long long rectangle of chi in the ground, out in front of you. Telekinesis really helps in this technique, and although it is highly recommended, it is optional.

Earthen Power Requirements: Earth Tide, Chi Mediation, Breathing Meditation, Telekinesis
This is an offensive earthbending technique. Basicly what you are going to do is fire earth at your opponent. Simple right?
Build up chi in your leg and stand sideways facing your target. Stomp your foot down and at the same time release your chi and use telekinesis on the earth in front of you. Do not guide your chi, simply explode it out. This will cause the ground right in front of your foot to explode all over the place. This works very best with sand because the energy from the stomp effects it a lot. But if you want more results with the bending portion, you will want to try this on somewhat loose ground, but not sand or dirt.

Earth Wave Requirements: Earthen Tide, Chi Meditation, Breathing Meditation, Telekinesis
This is both an offensive and a defensive skill. Basicly what you are doing, is launching a hump of earth at your opponent to throw them off balance.
his is a branch of the Earth Tide technique. Start by doing everything you do in the earth tide technique. But when you go to stomp your foot down and release your chi, you are going to do the following.
as soon as you stomp your foot down, use both telekinesis and chi to make a hump of earth in front of you. To accomplish this, use telekinesis to guide the energy you released in the stomp itself, and make it form a hump of earth out in front of you, but to make it

actually form the hump you have to release your chi at the same time you do this. But it doesnt stop there, continue to use chi and telekinesis, to force this hump of earth foward. With both the energy from your telekinesis and stomp, and the chi, it will force a wave of earth at your opponent

Rings of Saturn Requirements: Earthen Tide, Chi Meditation, Breathing Meditation, Telekinesis
This is mainly a defensive technique, but it can easilly be used as an offensive technique as well. You will need to practice on gravel or sand to do this technique. You will be making a temporary wall out of gravel, to block incoming attacks or to strike someone from below.
This technique will require a lot of energy. From your telekinesis, chi, and physical energy as well. If you are not amazing at telekinesis yet, you will need to rely on your physical energy more than this.

Go on gravel, and build up chi in your leg. Stand sideways, and stomp your foot down. When you do so, release your chi in the direction of the rocks you want to bend. Also thrust your fist at the ground and use telekinesis, guide the telekinetic energy to the gravel you want to bend. Use telekinesis to guide the energy of your stomp, into the rocks that you want to bend. And as soon as all your energy reaches the gravel you want to bend, use telekinesis and chi control to shoot the energy up into the air. Remember, this technique relies a lot on physical energy unless you are really good at telekinesis. After a lot of practicing, and a lot of determination, you will find that you are able to make a temporary wall out of gravel.
The gravel will not stay in the air long, Gravity will take effect on it while airborne as soon as your energy begins to get low.

about earth bending
Earth Bending is one of the four elemental Bending Arts the geokinetic ability to manipulate earth and rock, in all its various forms. It is used by people of the Earth Kindgom.Earthbending is generally based on the Hung Gar style of Kung Fu, which features heavily rooted stances and strong kicks and punches that evoke the mass and power of earth. The martial art is based on the movements of animals, including the tiger, which is utilized when initiating hard blows, and the crane, which is used to land gently back on the Earth.Southern Praying Mantis Kung Fu using its precise stepping to maintain contact with the ground.Earthbenders typically go barefoot, to increase their connection with the earth. .

Earth is the element of substance, making Earthbenders and their people in general proud, persistent and enduring. The key to Earthbending is neutral jing which involves waiting and listening for the right moment to strike, and when that moment comes, acting decisively.Earthbending differs from the other bending arts in that it maintains a distinct balance between offensive and defensive capabilities (though water involves a more refined version by channeling defense into offense). Earthbending uses a balance of strength and defense to overwhelm opponents.

The principle of Jing is the essence of battle strategy, with a total of 85 possible actions. Positive Jing occurs when one chooses to fight while negative Jing is when one chooses to evade. The Earthbending discipline stresses Neutral Jing, which involves listening, waiting, and attacking at the right moment.According to Iroh, earth is the element of substance. In avatar toph bends earth as well

Note: From Earthbender DO NOT HARM ANYBODY WITH BENDING because spirits will take your bending away FOREVER!
Lesson 4-Feeling Vibrations To feel vibrations you need aura. Kids are REAL good with it. Aura is when you close your eyes and you see colors and patterns. So look at something, close your eyes right after that, then the aura should be its shape. Then, throw that object since it with chi to your feet with chi it will HELP you not do it. When your good at it (1 week should do it)you can do it without aura. Thanks, Earthbender.

Lesson 3-Injuries Of course, if your hurt you cannot bend because your chi is blocked. Thanks for reading, subfrost and Earthbender and of course, airbendingmaster

Lesson 2-Mixing your chi with a rock if you don't know how to let chi out through your whole body and mix it with the rock, earthbending is going to be impossible for you to do.

First, you need to feel your chi and then designate the areas that you want them to come out of. So first you need to meditate and visualize your chi coming out of from almost every nearly possible place. Once you see your chi coming out you need to make it fuse with the rock. This is the hard part, you need to have complete control over it for you to do this. Now let your chi just go into the rock and don't force it to do anything else. Once you mix it with the rock try to move it around a little dont expect very serious results the first time you do this, because it may take a little while for you to get it down.

Lesson 1-controlling your chi if you cannot control your chi bending will be nearly impossible,

First, you need to be able to feel you chi and move it.Meditate and visualize your chi goign throughout your body like a 2nd blood in your body do this and try to make is move certain places until you start to feel it.Then when you think your ready pool your chi into your arms, chest, stomach, hands whatever.

When you think your done now start to move it all into your hands and keep it there for a minute.try to put it between both of your hands until you make a ball this is called a chi ball.after a few days of practicing this then try to shape that ball into a triangular prism or a cube or something like that

W
eaknesses
Earth Connection: An Earthbender's powers are firmly rooted to the ground they stand on. Removing them any substantial distance from the earth, such as in the air or on the ocean, strips them of their ability to bend.

Metal and Wood: An extension of the last weakness, because the majority of them don't know how to bend processed metals, the bending abilities of an Earthbender can be negated by securing them within a metallic barrier, separating them from any contact with the earth. Wood, contrary to the Western notion of earth, cannot be subject to earthbending because it isn't a mineral nor is it mineral-like.

Reliance on the Lower Body: Earthbending is at its strongest when the feet are in direct contact with the ground, enabling them to transfer their kinetic energies into their bending for fast and powerful moves.  This weakness is very similar to how disabling a Waterbender's arms prevents them from bending,.

Earthbending is the opposing bending art to
Airbending. When first learning to Earthbend, the pupil must first learn confrontational tactics and familiarity with the brute strength necessary to work with earth. This contrasts with the emphasis of Airbenders on mobility and evasion. Earthbenders require a firm root in the ground, while Airbenders are constantly moving.

Like all of the bending arts, Earthbending is balanced so as not to be more or less powerful than the other arts.

Techniques
Basic abilities  Earth & Stone Levitation: The most common attack, involves levitating nearby earth and stone of numerous sizes (more powerful benders can move larger masses), and propelling them at foes by punching or kicking motions.

Rock Shield: A levitated slab of rock can also double as a shield when positioned in front of a Bender. This can also be performed as a slab or sheet of bedrock thrust out of the earths surface.

Earth Sinking: More advanced Earthbenders, such as Master Yu and General Fong, can forcibly sink their opponents into the ground, imprisoning them or even suffocating them in earth.

Earthquakes/Fissures: Striking the ground with feet, fists, or hammers creates localized earthquakes or fissures to throw opponents off-balance. This same process can be used to sculpture a landmass or to slice large chunks of rock clean of a surface to create avalanches or rockfalls. More advanced Earthbenders can make very narrow fissures for precise attacks.

Earth Block: Earthbenders can bring up blocks of earth, and launch them at their enemies.

Earth Gauntlet: A much less advanced version of Earth armor that can be used to throw back opponents with hard solid force. Quicksand: By turning the ground to quicksand to immobilize an enemy, or catapult into the air and soften the earth to ensure a safe landing. They can also do the reverse of this, compacting sand together to create harder projectiles or a firmer grip on the ground. Rock Slide: If an Earthbender is near a cliff or mountain, he or she can cause many rocks of a multitude of sizes to fall down on his or her opponent.

Earth Column: A more powerful version of rock projectiles, involving forcing columns of rock out of the ground. Using a similar principle an Earthbender can shoot a stream of small ruts and protrusions from underground at their opponent. This can also be used to enhance the benders jumps. It is however limited to the ground and does not have the same range as a rock projectile.

Earth Wall: Earthbenders can create walls of earth, which can be used for both defense and offense, and practical things, like construction.

Earth Line: As an offensive attack, Earthbenders can create a line of twisted columns and propel it forward.

Earth Material Manipulation: Earthbending is not limited to rock or soil alone. An Earthbender can also manipulate coal, gems, crystals, and other earth-based material, like meteorites.

Rock Hanging: Earthbenders also possess limited magnetic capabilities, allowing them to grasp vertical surfaces and cling unsupported to earthen structures. Earth Launch: While Earthbenders like being rooted to the ground they can quickly move rock beneath them and launch several tens of feet into the air, whether to catch airbourne opponents or to travel faster. Earth Compression: It is possible for Earthbenders to compress large chunks of rock into smaller, denser chunks, or to compress several smaller chunks into one big piece of rock.

Master abilities

Earth Tunneling: Earthbenders can move through the earth to out-maneuver their foes either by opening tunnels or by pulling the earth past them, literally swimming through the ground.

Earth Armor: Earthbenders can bring rocks, dusts, pebbles or crystals around them and mold them to fit their body and create something similar to armor. They can also hide inside the earth by bending the rock around them as a shell.

Earth Wave: Earthbenders create a wave of earth that they ride on and use as a form of transportation, They can also force a wave of earth outwards, and use it as an extremely powerful offensive attack

Earth Bomb: By sending a rock towards the ground, Earthbenders can cause massive damage as well as throw their opponents off their feet.

Remote Earth bending: If an Earthbender is suspended from the ground, but is aware that there is earth somewhere near, the Earthbender can focus his energies and bend that earth out of his physical reach out of sheer concentration.

Avatar abilities

Greater Earth & Stone Levitation: With their greater power and stronger connection to the earth (being the reincarnation of the planet's spirit itself), Avatars can move hill-sized statues at will.   Tectonics: create crevasses so deep they even fracture landmasses.

Powered Compression: This much more powerful version of the Earth Compression technique

Compressed Rock Bullets: This technique is similiar to rock hanging, but instead the projectiles are small like bullets. Earth Bending

earthbenders, like waterbenders, depend on filling something with chi. in this case, filling a rock wih chi. filling something  with chi can be a very difficult task to master so dont be put down if you dont get this on your first few tries

Rock Lift lvl1- first put your hands over a rock (a small one for beginners) and use the earth meditation found in the “meditation skills” page. after you have your chi collected, push it out of your hands and fill the rock with chi. to fill the rock with chi, visualize the rock transparent and watch as the chi fills the rock all the way to the top. now use your own earth chi and connect with the rock’s chi. and very slowly and only a few inches, lift your hands, your chi. and the rock chi. dont let the chi inside the rock leave it, and you should have lifted the rock. it doesnt have to be lifted like alot, just a few centimeters will do. to know if you lifted the rock, put the rock on a hard floor and listen for a *clunk* sound of the rock falling

I have not yet mastered this skill but I am getting close to it so this should work, but I am not positive. Once I have done this, then I will be sure it will work. but for right now, practice this at your own risk….of wasting your time
moveing earth- to do this you need to stand in a strong stance as earthbending is strong deffensive bending style. ok now to do this technique you need to make your stance then get a mound of earth thst you want to move and wrap your chi around the rock and the imagine your chi being pushed forward then pushed even harder then the earth should eventually move
